GLO
www.glo-online.com
Based in England, the group is well named and their album 'Evilution' is a clever play on words. Steev, Paul, Ricky and Phil came together in 1998, as a vision was received by the lead vocalist several years prior. In that vision, Steev saw multitudes at a stadium event, drawn to the glory of God through the power of music and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Having recognised the evangelistic power of spiritually anointed art and media, Steev spent the subsequent years searching for like-minded people with a heart for God, a passion for the lost, and an ear for contemporary Christian music. Glo is the conclusion of that search. Pulling together a plethora of influences from dc talk to Keane, Nickelback to Robbie Williams, mixing a blend of hooky choruses & driving gritty guitars, with refreshing vocals delivering clear, challenging lyrics - the music of Glo is perhaps best described as 'Grit pop/rock'.

I’ve worn several hats other than in music. I’ve acted in pictures, I have directed, I have produced pictures. I was executive producer of ‘Bat 21’ starring Gene Hackman and Danny Glover." Jerry is clearly proud grateful of his Southern roots. “I was born in Atlanta, Georgia in the year of our Lord 1937....it was a thrill being called to play on the recording session where Elvis cut my song, ‘Guitar Man’...The gospel song – ‘A Brand New Me’ is absolutely biographical. With looks and the occasional vocal 'whoop', he vocally reminds one of the legendary Little Richard ('Rip It Up', 'Tutti Fruiti' and 'Long Tall Sally'). But that's where the similarity ceases! Jessy's gospel music heavily influenced the 'rock 'n roll' generation. Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, Jessy admits that he only initially attended his local church for the enjoyment of its joyous music! His undeveloped faith at that time did not match the God-given gift of his exceptionally good voice. He had not personally surrendered to the claims on his life of Christ Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. This all changed dramatically in 1972.
